I have been craving for J. Co. Donuts. Well, not really craving. How can you crave for something you haven’t even tasted, right? Yeah, I may be the last person on earth who hasn’t tried those donuts. Anyway, I’m just waiting for them to open a branch here in Quezon City. For now, I’ve had to satisfy my curiosity with these photos. Or should I say, torture myself with these photos?
Happy weekend, everyone.

It’s actually a no-brainer. When we want delicious and quick lunch, Banapple always comes to mind. The resto offers everything from rice dishes, pasta, breakfast items, salads to coffee, bread and of course, desserts. It’s a dessert place more than anything. But that’s only my opinion. But then again, it won’t have banana cream pie or banoffee pie as its signature dessert for nothing, right? Anyway, my kid and I always eat here. I won’t be surprised if one day the owner would reward us with a special employee price or a loyal customer price for our orders. Would that day ever come?
Carbonara
Asian Salad
Insalata Rustico
Chicken Fillet with Mushroom Sauce
Hickory Spareribs
Banapple has a wide array of dishes but do order the Beef Tapa with creamy scrambled eggs, Hickory Spare Ribs, Trio of Sausage Pasta and of course, the Banapple or Banoffee Pie when you happen to dine here. Creamy Chicken and Herb Cheese & Mushroom Pies are all-time faves too. We usually stock up on these two whenever they’re available.

There’s no doubt that green tea is good for you. It’s an excellent source of antioxidants, is proven to burn fats, reduces high blood pressure and cholesterol and generally prolongs your life. And what’s so great about this super food is that you can prepare in every which way imaginable.
Green Tea Cupcakes
Green Tea Yogurt
Green Tea Ice Cream and Cake Roll
Green Tea Macaron
And just plain Green Tea which I prefer over all the above.
Happy Weekend, everyone!

I started doing Vegan Sundays a few months back, inspired by my dream to finally lose the excess poundage I’ve been lugging around my waist, thighs, back and arms for the past 6 or 7 years. Yes, it’s that long and I can’t believe I waited that long to do something about my weight. But you know me, I chickened out. After a few weeks of going vegan, I finally threw in the towel and raised the white flag. Why? Because I wasn’t losing the weight. But the reason for the failure may be attributed to the main purpose. Being vegan has to be more than the weight loss. It’s about believing in something more meaningful and it’s not just about fats and muscles. Although for an overweight person, it could already mean the whole world to them and the only reason for it.
But now I’ve been thinking about doing it again and like I said in my previous post, I won’t be as strict about it as before. I don’t have to do it only on Sundays, I can do it any day and even twice or thrice a week. It won’t matter just as long as I do it at least once a week. So I’ll do a restart next week and see how it goes. And one more thing, have you heard about this Nike Training Club app. it’s the coolest thing in the world. It’s very challenging but it will really test your limits. It’s either you love it or you don’t. Good thing I love it and I’ve been doing it for almost two weeks now. Best of all, I think it’s working. Try it for yourself.

My neighbors are having a party. You can very well hear as they sing their hearts out to songs of the 80′s. Name it and they have it on the play list. Total eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. BeeGees Songs and yes, Borderline and Like a Virgin by Madonna. Some may call this disturbing the peace but I love it. All those crazy, loud music and I can even hear a faint sound of ludwig accent in there. I welcome the noise as my kids and I laugh our heads off when one of them sings off-key or invents words to the songs.
I hope our weekend is just as loud, proud and merry.
