bye, carbs

December 30th, 2011 § 2 comments § permalink

Last month it was pasta.  Before that it was all about cilantro and mexican nights.  This month is all about gnocchi.  I admit I go through phases of food trips and obsessions.   So far it isn’t helping with my weight loss as food I crave is mostly carbs.  Why do carbs have to taste better than most foods.  So after this season, I vow to stay away from it.  Bye, CARBS!

So I’ll have to renew my stint with protein.  Hello there, BEEF!  But I will continue on with my vegan day once a week.  Although it would be mostly salads and none of  the brown or red rice.  It wouldn’t be the same, I know.  But I want to be slim by the time I reach 40 which is less than two months away.

So this post is about saying goodbye to carbs (again)…

Goodbye, burger with bun!

Goodbye, Pizza!

Goodbye, Chocolate Cake!

Goodbye, my beloved pasta and fries!

Goodbye, Laksa! We’ll see each other again when I reach 110 pounds.

GOODBYE, CARBS! IT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED.

benefits of internet marketing

December 30th, 2011 § 0 comments § permalink

Internet Marketing is currently the talk of the town since many people have migrated their businesses online. Having an established customer base on a personal level though does not mean having a stable visitor in your web site. In the first place, the reason why you decided to cover the cyber world is to have more patrons but this cannot happen without a good internet marketing strategy.

Based on my own experience, it took me months before my blog got  hits. Why? Because I thought that my reader base can grow alone. Rather than compare my weblog to a plant that needs constant watering, I compared it to a cactus that grows by itself in an arid land, which was wrong. Sure I have steady flow of readers but the growth was not felt until I discovered and actually applied some internet marketing strategies, among which are using social media and bookmarking, article marketing, blogging and blog commenting. Be warned that these methods did not collect me visitors to my site overnight. It can take weeks, even months as well but the difference between not marketing your site and marketing it is that you see something happen day by day with the latter.

It is worth noting that you need to work hard on this, too, even if you have the tools. I myself had to sit a few hours in front of the computer to boost my web presence. Either I was writing articles related to my products and services or commenting on blogs and forums for backlinks. Sometimes you will find me designing logos to put on the websites and blog pages. I also worked hard on getting higher page ranking so I was training myself and applying what I learned at the same time. You can do this on your own or do it with a company that makes your Internet marketing strategy work for your site.

It was not easy at first but when you get used to it, everything gets done almost in a huff. The moment you achieve your thousandth hit is the moment you can be secured about your web presence and status.

overcoming bankruptcy

December 29th, 2011 § 0 comments § permalink

Filing for bankruptcy involves a lot of complicated procedures, paper work, and stress. Without a skilled bankruptcy attorney, anyone can almost go insane. Consider dealing with collectors every day at your doorstep, on the phone or by mail as one of the most stressful parts.

The thought of losing all your properties and watching your savings account empty are the scariest but these can only happen if you don’t have a reliable attorney beside you to give advice on how to manage your finances and defend you against the harassment of your creditors. There’s an ‘automatic stay’ that takes effect after the lawyer has filed your petition and this helps ward off credit collectors. Should these collectors try to contact you in any way, they are automatically in violation of the law. Personally, this alone is already a relief because they can be everywhere. Before filing for bankruptcy, some of them would even call your  home and even at your office as if trying to eliminate every possibility of escape. How can one handle money problems well if they keep stalking you, right?

Dealing with debt collectors is one thing and dealing with creditors is another. Thank God for bankruptcy lawyers.  One need not worry about facing this type of problem alone.  So if you think that you have tried every possible means of reducing your debts and nothing worked out, filing for bankruptcy is your last resort. Find a good attorney and let him or her help you regain your financial stability. It may take quite a while before it happens but at least you can sleep better at night.
