This month you have the chance to win some of my favorite things which I’m hosting BLOGWide, meaning on all my blogs. I run five blogs so there’ll be 5 prizes. You can win one or you can win them all. Just visit the following links below the guidelines to see the prize for each blog.

This blog is where I write about my thoughts and challenges. So this Moleskine is a perfect giveaway for this blog….I think it’s everyone’s favorite journal, not only mine. And I’m giving one away so you can write down your thoughts for your own eyes to read only. The thing with a journal versus an online diary is that you can be more truthful. The things you write will forever be between those pages and you. And I’m giving one away to one lucky winner.
All you have to do is:
1. Like my Facebook page here.
2. Subscribe to this blog via email.
3. Follow this blog via Google Friend Connect

I’m telling you this challenge is harder than I thought. Well, not really in a sense that I picked the wrong date to start my 30-day exercise challenge. I scheduled it at my busiest month of the year. I couldn’t squeeze in just 10 minutes of exercise. I can actually if I really wanted to but if I do that I won’t have time to do more important things. I’d be tired and sleepy. You know what I mean? I’m not saying that exercise is not important. It is. But it’s just a matter of timing. Our Singapore trip is also next week so how can i exercise when our itinerary won’t allow me to.
So the challenge is an epic fail. I might have a go at it this coming June when MG starts school and I have more time in my hands. Her schedule, since she’d be in Grade 1 now, is from 8 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon. So I have an hour every weekday morning to run, walk or go to the gym.
So there were no days 9 and 10. I only did a week of exercise and that was it. But I tried and will do it again after this busy-ness dies down a bit next month.
But I’ve been successful in the no-rice challenge. But that’s for another post. Happy weekend for now and have a great week ahead! We’re off to Singapore in a few days…

I was not able to do any exercise routine on Day 8. We left early in the morning although the seminar was at 11am. I knew there was gonna be traffic and I’ve always hated being late. I have this OC thing about missing out on something just because I wasn’t there. I hate that. So I always try to be early for any kind of appointment or meetings. Back in school, I was never late. In fact, I was always one of the early ones. My friends also know that about me so whenever we have these get-togethers, they try to be at least on time or not so late.
Anyway, we left early and we got home late. I was dead tired so I told my kid to keep it quiet when opening the gate so her neighbor friend wouldn’t hear us coming in. I was not in the mood to nanny the two kids while they played so I told her to keep it down. Unluckily, she was eagerly waiting for us. She had a gift for MG. So I felt guilty and I let them play upstairs while I tried to fix the house.
They seemed to be enjoying themselves and laughing so hard so i went to see what the fuss was about. They were busy trying out their new toys which were hula hoop for the leg. It was the first time I saw one so the kid in me wanted to try it. It was so much fun that MG got mad because I was playing with the toy for quite awhile.
I handed the toy to MG and I began to realize that I was breathing and sweating heavily. It was like I exercised. And it was fun. I was laughing while doing it and that must have given my lazy heart the aerobic exercise it needed.
So in essence, I still had my exercise only it was play.=)

On a regular weekday, breakfast for me is just coffee. My kid has her milk and cereals while my son is always rushing so there’s no breakfast for him. But I bought Uno’s crusty French Bread the other day and if you still don’t know this about us, we love breads especially the crusty and flaky ones. Of course, we also have a love affair with our Pan De Sal.
So this is how we eat French Bread. It’s always with butter and cheese. We love it. It’s always a hit. So my no-carb diet is an epic fail. I’m never going to pass by UNO resto again until I lose the pounds.

Day 6 was yesterday and there was no morning sweat to write about. I was out almost the whole day because of errands. I hate Mondays. I can’t take the stress of Mondays. That’s why when I got back home a little after lunch, I was already so exhausted from all the driving and the extreme heat. It was so freakin’ hot. I even had a headache come late afternoon which was alarming. I’m quite paranoid with headaches.
Two years ago a mainstay of my diet was Biogesic. I ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner coz I had headaches all the time. I would be relieved of the pain when I drink pain relievers but as soon as the effect of the medicine subsided, my headache was back on. I was that way for almost two years. Then one day it was just gone. The headache left without a word but if was a happy farewell. I wanted it to leave ever since I had it.
So I was quite paranoid yesterday. I though my headache was back and here to stay. Good thing it was gone by evening and hasn’t made its presence felt since.
But I surely made up for it this morning as I doubled the time of my exercise session. I thought I was going to pass out. I am that un-fit. But I managed and was able to finish two sessions of Les Mills Body Combat. It was a good sweat. I prefer working out in the morning when it’s not that hot and you’re not dead tired yet from household chores and errands. I’m pretty sure if I postpone my sessions in the afternoon, I would not get any exercising done.
So I vow to get moving in the morning. I must stay on track. I have 3 more weeks. By that time this challenge has ended, my body would be so used to morning exercise, I might not be able to survive without it. Wouldn’t that be great?!
